Phase II and Retreat Patients

Gaidge Consult Manager currently allows one treatment per patient. This will be updated in an upcoming version expected later this year. In the meantime, if you have a patient ready for Phase II or a Retreat there are two options to complete their treatment presentation in GCM.

Add a New Patient and new treatment plan presentation

Here we have 2 options:

• Edit the original patient's name by adding -P1 (or similar) to the first name, then add new (duplicate) patient 



• Add new (duplicate) patient but with firstname+middle initial. 

Since Gaidge uses first name, last name + birthdate to determine uniqueness, either of these options results in 2 patient records.  If you are using patient sync with your practice management, the only way to get 2 patients is to update the name of the original on GCM.

Present and accept the treatment plan normally.

Pick an option and be consistent!

Be sure your staff knows how to tell which patient is the original and which is the follow up treatment. (P1 or initial)
