Setup Review

After your first training, you will want to review your Gaidge Consult Manager (GCM) setup and go over it with any personnel who were unable to attend the session, for example, the doctor.

From the left-hand menu select Settings then Practice Management. Then find the Consult Manager settings on the left-side menu.

Insurance Information

Review settings for carriers that have been entered. Set up additional carriers, if needed. Remember, you can configure plans on a per patient basis within the Patient Details/Insurance page. The best practice is to keep it simple here. 

  • The insurance name or carrier on the patient’s information screen is what prints on the patient’s contract. 
  • Any insurance set to Pay Patient Direct will not be applied to the patient’s out of pocket amount.

We have added generic Orthodontic Insurance and Orthodontic Insurance (In Network) for ease of use, plus No Orthodontic Benefit which may be used to indicate that insurance was checked and there is no benefit to apply.

Payment Plans

Confirm Monthly Payment Options and PIF Discounts settings. (Don’t forget to click Save if making changes)
