Repair Visit Impact

Repair or Emergency appointments are items that can “rob” the schedule of slots needed for active adjustment appointments.  These appointments can also result in staff and doctor working additional hours or days to accommodate the problem.

An increased Repair percentage is directly related to the anxiety of fitting emergency patients into an already full schedule, creating “wait time” for other patients, and extending the treatment time.

At the bottom of the chart, click on "See Location details" to see your repairs YTD or over a certain time period.

A reduction in repair visits by several points leads to a better patient experience, better days for your team, and offers more space in the schedule to add production appointments. Ultimately a major productivity driver.

Calculate Impact

To calculate the impact of reducing your repair visits, open location details, gather your total repair visits YTD (or over specific time period of your choice): 

Next, find your Production per Completed Appointment:

The example above has had 1425 repair visits in 6 months and their average seen per day is 49.

1425 ÷ 49 = 29 Days

This practice is working over 2 months a year just on repair visits!
