Overhead Budget
Now that your expense accounts are mapped to the Gaidge Overhead module, you will want to setup your budget. There is a separate tab exclusively for the budget plus your budget values may be toggled on and off on the Overhead Summary.
Login to Gaidge and from the main screen click on the Gear icon (Settings) at the upper left and then select Practice Management.
On the Practice Management screen, click on the Budget tab under Overhead on the left menu. The system will default to your entire practice and this year’s budget. Click on any Edit button to add budget amounts. (This works like setting goals in Gaidge.)
You can enter your budget as a
- Percentage of change over last year
- Percentage of Net Collection goal set per month this year
- Percentage of Net Collection goal set for this year (uses 1/12th of total for each month)
- Set all months to the same value
or enter each month individually in the % change or Budget fields.
If you choose a percentage of your Net Collections Goal and you haven’t set a Net Collections goal you will see this message. Please go into Goals and set and save a goal to proceed.
Overhead Budget Report
The Overhead budget displays spending this month (or the last month of your selected date range), the amount spend during the same month last year (SMLY) and the Monthly Budget amount. These are followed by Monthly, Quarter to Date and Year to Date budget percentages spent.
